Everyone has been insecure about something in one time of their life or another. Whether it’s about your physical appearance, the way you carry yourself, the way you dress, or even just about yourself in general. So the important thing to remember is that you’re not alone. Everyone has been self-conscious before. Here are some easy, easy ways to overcome insecurities >>

*LEARN TO LOVE YOUR INSECURITIES* This means even what you think is your worst feature can be used as your best feature. This is the way God intended, but instead the enemy used it to make you feel bad about yourself. The Bible says in Proverbs 19:8 “The one who gets wisdom loves himself; the one who cherishes understanding will soon prosper.” Guys, this means that you will find wisdom when you love yourself.

*LEARN TO LOVE OTHERS* I’ve noticed that the more {honest} compliments that I give to others, the better I feel about myself. If you go around putting others down, eventually you will start to feel down too. And by loving others I mean truly loving others. Even if you feel like you can’t honestly compliment someone, there’s always a way. Think about the kinds of encouraging words that you like to hear from other people, and use those words to compliment them. This helps to practice a positive attitude, which will help with your own insecurities.

*STOP THE COMPARISON* “I’m never going to look like her”, “I’m never going to look like him” are easy ways to make yourself feel self-conscious. This jealousy and envy that we allow to have its say in our minds serves no good purpose and steals the joy we find when we sit and live content right where God has us. Obviously, God has a plan for your life and no, it’s not to be just like that girl or guy. He has made you unique and {extraordinary} just the way you are. Think about how you have your own unique fingerprints, NO ONE in this world has the same ones as you. If God cares THIS much about you, then He wouldn’t make you “ugly”, or “awkward”, or pretty much any insecurity we have about ourselves.

*PRACTICE POSTIVE SELF TALKS* Practice looking in the mirror and saying “I’m beautiful” or “I’m not ugly”. This truly helps because if you speak, sooner or later you’ll start to believe it. Because your words over yourself and others have so much power. And once you believe your words and your words start to match Gods, it will start happening, on the inside and the outside!!

God cares about you, and He certainly doesn’t want you to feel insecure, because he has a SPECIAL plan for you!! {TRULY} LOVE YOURSELF.
